Bible Lesson – God deserves our praises!

From the passage, there are three major things we should learn as children of God.

Firstly, God showed His power. He used His mighty power to save the Israelites from the King Pharaoh and his soldiers. 

The Bible says, the sea water came upon them (Pharaoh and his soldiers) and they perished. Also, the Israelites walked through the sea on dry land.

This tells us that, God is able and powerful. He can do all things.

Another lesson we need to learn from the passage is that, God is merciful to His people. The Israelites received God’s awesome kindness; that is why the Pharaoh and his soldiers were unable to conquer the Israelites.

As God’s children, we can call on Him and God is willing to answer our prayers.

Lastly, we should always praise Him(God). Yes, God deserves our praises. From the passage, after Pharaoh and his men died, the Israelites praised God. Miriam and some women used different musical instruments to sing songs to God Almighty.

Likewise, we can also praise God. In all situations, we should give Him the praises. Because, God is worthy of our praises!

PRAYER:

Dear Jesus, thank you for the gift of music that points us to you in bad times and good. Bring a song of praise to my mind today. Amen.
